Shere School PTA
The purpose of any PTA is to promote closer relations and improving educational facilities at the school. At Shere Infant School all new parents automatically become a part of the PTA.
From October 2017 onwards, following the brilliant work that the committee had done to date, we decided to move back to the name PTA to avoid any confusion that came about from the name FOSSA and help include the new Fox Cubs nursery parents. We very much include and welcome all parents as members of the PTA, everyone should have a voice in what we spend the money on and see the end result.
One of the main aims is of course to raise much needed funds for the school to provide fun extras that make learning more interesting and exciting. However, we hope that we also provide a great opportunity to get to know other parents, teachers and members of the wider community.
In order to make events that count happen, your involvement is needed to make your child’s experience at Shere School an unforgettable one.
One of the annual highlights is the Shere Open Gardens where parents bake and offer their time to serve teas and cakes to the visitors and is one of the most popular events of the year!
