Shere Open Gardens – Sunday 17th June, Volunteers & Cakes needed! Speak to the school office, thank you.
Shere Church of England Infant School is a thriving family school set in a stunning village location. We warmly welcome children between the ages of four and seven.
At Shere, children experience personalised learning that is meaningful and memorable; playful, collaborative and lively. Our children are happy, motivated and excited by their learning. They thrive through a cutting edge curriculum that offers challenge and choice.
The school is at the heart of our community and a close relationship with the church supports children’s spiritual wellbeing, supporting them as they develop into responsible citizens.
We are delighted with our recent Ofsted report, a copy of which can be found in the Families areas of this website.
We are very proud of all that Shere Infant School has to offer and welcome visits from prospective families. To make an appointment please phone the school office on 01483 202198.
We have a fantastic collective understanding of how children learn and how to help them to achieve their very best.
We know that children are active learners and understand that they enjoy learning together. We appreciate that children like to have a say in what they learn and how, we call this child-steered learning. We value the opportunity to take our children on exciting adventures and we love welcoming inspirational visitors in school.
Crucially, we know that children learn best when immersed in an exciting topic. With the introduction of whole school topics we have made learning more memorable, exciting and playful. Our school studies the same topics with progressively challenging objectives for each year group.
By learning together as a whole school community we share ideas, excitement, adventures, trips; teachers share their planning and we all (children and adults) learn from one another. We are collaborative, innovative, curious and questioning.
We challenge and encourage one another to be the very best we can be.
